Pregnancy Yoga Kit Review

Pregnancy Yoga Kit Review for Pregnancy Yoga

If you’re on the lookout for an all in one kit then you can’t get much better than the Gaiam Baby Ready Yoga Kit.

A little nervous about buying an “all in one” kit and what kind of quality it would be? Well I have to say, the DVD is excellent and the included mat/block/strap are also of very good quality. I love the mat, brick and strap in this set and this kit represents excellent value for money. It would have cost much more to buy each piece individually.

The DVD features three women at different trimesters – one who is barely showing, one who is further along, and one who is ready to burst. Each do the moves a little differently, obviously the women who is further along does more relaxed poses/stretches, so you can exercise without straining yourself. The large mat is very thick and unlike others it does not have too strong of a smell. It comes with a suitable foam block and a canvas D-ring strap. All in all excellent value for money.

Gaiam Baby-Ready yoga kit. Outfitted with a premium 5 mm yoga mat, a yoga block, a natural cotton strap, and a workout DVD, the kit includes everything you need to practice yoga while pregnant. The mat is extra thick to ensure plenty of cushioning, while the yoga block and strap help improve your alignment and postures. Finally, the instructional DVD comes with two workouts – PreNatal Yoga and PostNatal Yoga, for practicing before and after your pregnancy. Healthy Mom = Healthy Baby.

My right wrist is weak from an accident I had a few years ago so I have always been too hesitant to try the poses that needed my arms to support my body. I tried this block out by doing a handstand using a wall to support my body, and since have progressed to doing them freestanding. So far so good! – Madaboutyoga

I took up Pilates a few years ago; I’m now pregnant found I needed some extra support when I was doing my postures. This block was ideal and really helped take the extra strain so I can continue on working out through my pregnancy. – Yummymummy31

I’d used other blocks which gave me twinges in my back which
interrupted my weekly Pilates class. When I took this to my lesson I
expected the same to happen but I was able to hold the positions for
a much longer time. It’s really helped my development. – ZenGirl 23

For this you can go for some breathing exercises in yoga which will help you relax yourself and do away with the stress. These exercises will increase the content of oxygen in your body which is good. It is good to concentrate on the form and also on the movement while you do these pregnancy yoga poses so that you can get the most out of them.

Other poses: Most of the pregnant women undergo some amount of back pain and also pain in the legs. To get rid of this pain you can try pregnancy yoga poses which require standing postures. These will help good blood circulation to the lower part of the body and will also strengthen the muscles in a way that your body can cope with the additional weight of the baby. It would be better if you start pregnancy Yoga poses after the first three months.

While going for pregnancy Yoga poses remember the fact that you should not overdo any exercise during pregnancy. Also make sure that you have a trainer around you to help you while you attempt to do these postures.
